Enhanced Protection: Porches are usually enclosed, which allows your space to be protected from weather and stray animals. The protection from rain and snow provide a comfortable environment to relax and still be able to enjoy the outdoors. On top of this, enclosed porches provide more privacy compared to an open deck.

Space Efficiency: Not every home has a large lot of land to build a functional deck.
